Chula Vista EOC Update May 15-22nd

There are four pillars that will help ensure we continue trending in the right direction:

  1. Hygiene and Sanitation
    1. Frequent handwashing and cleaning of high-contact areas
  2. Social distancing
  3. Face coverings
  4. Screening/Monitoring
    1. Take temperature, monitor health, and take appropriate precautions

The EOC is actively monitoring the evolving situation and taking action based on new developments. For your situational awareness, attached is the EOC Action Plan highlighting the direction of our response. We have transitioned from the previous OAP to the new EOC Action Plan for the duration of this incident.   Lastly, tomorrow the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds air demonstration squadron is expected to fly over San Diego County beginning at 12:00pm in the South Bay. This flyover is a salute to health care workers, first responders and other essential workers on the frontline of the coronavirus pandemic. Be sure to take a look in sky and enjoy the sight, however everyone is advised to watch the squadron from safe locations, refrain from traveling to landmarks and avoid gathering in groups.  Flyover map is attached. Be safe, be well. With preparedness in mind,Marlon KingEmergency Services CoordinatorCity of Chula Vista
