Students need educators and school staff members now more than ever.
With schools and districts closed to prevent the spread of COVID-19, continuing learning is important, and so are the other safety-net services that school provides.
We know the pandemic is putting a lot of stress on families. This week, I would like to draw your attention to several resources that can help address the pressure many students and families are feeling:
- Teen Mental Health Guide: Download or share the image from SDCOE’s Facebook page. Download the PDF file.
- 10 Self-Care Strategies for Teens: Download or share the image from SDCOE’s Facebook page. Download the PDF file.
- Mental Health Resources for Parents and Students
With distance learning, many students are spending more time online, leading to concerns for their safety. We have created an image (also available as a PDF) with FBI-recommended ways to keep kids safe online.
Please let me know if you have questions about any of the items in this newsletter or what schools are doing during this challenging situation.
